Career Pathways
Where could you go from here?
Explore different career directions, see the skills and evidence each may require, and understand the education, projects and work experiences that can help you move toward them.
Public pathways show what is possible. My ESI can show what is plausible for you — when you choose to make it personal.

I'm not sure yet
Start broad with career clusters. Small experiments beat a forced pick. Start broad
Careers aren't ladders. They're routes.
One destination can have several ways in. One person can have several plausible destinations. Staying is also valid.
Start broad. Go deep when something clicks.

Name the real gap. Then pick the next action.
Taking another course only helps when capability is actually missing.
- Capability gap: You don't yet know / cannot yet do it. Learn or practise.
- Evidence gap: You may have the capability but little proof. Build a project, case or stretch assignment.
- Presence gap: The evidence exists but employers cannot see it clearly. Resume, LinkedIn, portfolio — not another course.
- Exposure / scope gap: You need more scale, ownership or context. Stretch work, shadowing, internal move.
- Access gap: You need opportunity, network or a route into the field. Apprenticeship, referral, openings — not more theory.
- Credential gap: A formal credential is genuinely required or useful. Certification or qualification — only then.

Questions
Does ESI tell me the right career?
No. There usually is not one correct career. ESI shows possible directions, what each may require, and different ways in. My ESI can make a path personal; it does not issue a career-fit percentage.
Is this a job board or a course marketplace?
Neither. Career Pathways is discovery and planning. Listings, courses and certifications are supporting resources — used when that is actually the gap.
Are skill percentages on STEM role pages official requirements?
No. They are an indicative ESI planning model. When role-specific data is weak, ESI labels broader role-family guidance instead of false precision.
Is esi.in the same as a government skill scheme?
No. National Skill Pathways groups official Skill India Digital Hub courses as a public lens. ESI did not create or certify those external courses.
Do I need an account?
No. All public pathway, STEM role, skill-pathway and guide pages remain usable without signing in. My ESI Career is optional personalisation.
